Mary Leslie’s artistic journey is a tale of rediscovery and passion. Alongside her husband Richard and a lively bunch of Horses, Donkeys and dogs, Mary’s charming ranch serves as both her abode and her inspiration. Mary’s art paints a vivid picture of her deep-rooted affection for the untamed beauty of the West and its inhabitants. Her larger-than-life paintings are a heartfelt tribute to the animals and landscapes that have captured her heart and guided her life’s course.
After a short lived venture at the Savannah College of Art and Design to study graphic design, Mary quickly decided this was not her path and began her artistic voyage with a modest mural for a family member, Mary’s talents soon flourished over two decades, as her murals adorned walls across the South and beyond. Yet, the yearning for greater and more personal artistic expression led her to the world of fine art, where she now finds her creative haven.
Mary’s connection with animals and wildlife emanates from a lifelong love and reverence for the creatures that share our world. With every brushstroke, she skillfully captures the unspoken emotions of animals, encouraging viewers to ponder the stories that unfold within a horse’s gaze, a fox’s demeanor, or a bear’s contemplative pause.
Mary Leslie’s artistic journey is a testament to the power of passion and the beauty of nature’s wonders, encapsulating the essence of the west and the creatures that inhabit it.
As a recent transplant to the West, Mary has of late discovered the unmatched beauty of the desert and the quirky wildlife that call it home. With a self proclaimed tendency to anthropomorphism, Mary’s work is a conversation between artist and subject as she imagines their day and interactions with the surrounding creatures and flora of the desert.

“Moore Art: A Family Affair” is a unique opportunity to experience the work of three incredibly talented artists from the same family,” said Broadmoor Galleries director, Jamie Oberloh. “Robert Moore’s impressionistic style is a true representation of the beauty and diversity of America, and his children Anna and Robbie are following in his footsteps with their own unique styles and techniques.”
Robert Moore’s artistic achievements are all the more remarkable given that he is colorblind. Despite this, he has become known for his ability to create vivid and striking color palettes in his paintings. He has also developed a unique technique of painting with both hands simultaneously, which allows him to create intricate details and textures in his works.
Moore’s use of both hands to paint has been compared to the way a pianist uses both hands to play a complex piece of music. This technique requires a great deal of focus and coordination, and it has become one of Moore’s signature methods.

Robbie Moore, who recently graduated with a Finance degree from the University of Arkansas, has always had a passion for art and the natural world. He has developed his skills in drawing, gouache, watercolor, and oil painting, and his work has been featured in a company calendar commissioned by his employer. With his father’s legacy of developing artists and a lineage of artists in his family, Robbie’s future aspiration is to make the most out of his upbringing and create a name for himself in the art world.

The exhibition will be open to the public from May 18th, 2023, through June 8th, 2023, and will feature a special reception on May 18th, 2023, from 4-8 pm, where visitors can meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments. All works in the exhibition will be available for sale.
